These routes carry riders down the stunning Californian coastline hitting the highlights like Carlsbad, Encinitas and Del Mar. If you want to join your kids on their ride then sign up for the shorter 7 miler that takes you from Oceanside Pier to San Luis Rey River.

Driving/Parking Directions to the Start Saturday, Nov 2
Before 6:30am – From NB or SB I-5, exit at Mission Blvd. and head west on Mission Ave cross Coast Highway (PCH/101). Check-In and Start are on the Strand, on the beach.

After 7:00am – Traffic on Mission WB gets heavy and close-in parking (west of RR) gets slim. Try exiting at Harbor (from north) or Oceanside Blvd. (from south) and taking Pacific St. to either the Breakwater lots (#20 & 21) or the Myers lots (enter at Wisconsin).
Parking: There is no parking on the Strand for this event. There is plenty of parking near the start and surrounding area. Lots 28, 29 and 30 are not available during the event. Lots 21, 22 and 27 are the lowest cost per all day lots and provides hundreds of spaces.
All-Day Free Parking: Lots 23 and 36 are free all day as is the Civic Center Parking Structure and the Transit Center Parking Structure. On-street parking on Pacific near the Pier is metered with a four-hour maximum.

6:50AM - 100 Mile Wave Starts
7:45AM - 50 Mile Wave Starts
8:45AM - 25 Mile Wave Starts
9:00AM - 15 & 7 Mile Waves Start
10:00AM - Beer Garden & Expo open
5:00PM - final 100-mile Rider arrives, and Taste The Coast Expo closes
Please arrive at least 60 minutes before your race is scheduled to start to ensure there is sufficient time to complete the registration process.
FAQs
What is included when you sign up for the Bike the Coast?
All course entries are fully supported, have aid stations and on-course support. Riders get swag, food tickets and a finisher's medal. Family and friends also get free admission into the event, expo and access to the food trucks.
I no longer want to do the Bike the Coast can I get a refund?
No, sadly there will be no refunds for this event and it will go ahead whether its raining or not.
What is the time cut-off for the Bike the Coast?
All riders are expected back at the Pier by 5pm.
