Blood Sweat & Beers Day/Night Trail run routes
1.6 miles, 315 ft of vertical climb
The Lil' Dashers 2K course begins from the main race's start/finish area and heads up the dirt road to Girl Scout. After a short jaunt on Girl Scout the course uses the shortcut to West Leg where it continues back down to Mother and ultimately to the dirt road and to the finish.
3.2 miles, 525 ft of vertical climb
A steady climb uphill on the mildly-technical Girl Scout trail before reaching the Caldera Lot Aid Station and returning on the moderately technical, but very fast, East Leg trail, followed by the dirt road for approximately 1/2 mile to the finish.
6.3 miles, 750 ft of vertical climb
Start by running downhill along the beautiful, windy Lower Lake View trail (which lives up to its name) before heading up the River Mountain Trail and the infamous switchbacks, followed by taking Boy Scout back to the Caldera Lot Aid Station and West Leg — the only moderately-technical trail of this course — to the finish.
Half Marathon Course
13.3 miles, 1620 ft of vertical climb
Begin by heading up the mildly-technical Girl Scout trail before reaching the Caldera Lot and the first aid station. Continue out and run the Outer Caldera Loop, ending up at the Caldera Lot again before continuing through the Inner Caldera Loop and hitting the Caldera Lot one final time. From there, cruise down West Leg, up and over the saddle conenctor trail onto Mother, a fun winding trail that runs along the side of a steep dropoff, and down onto P.O.W to the Monument Aid Station. Finish it off with a slow grinder up P.O.W. and Par None before flying into the finish.
26.5 miles, 3280 ft of vertical climb
The marathon course begins by running the 5K course, up the mildly-technical trail Girl Scout to the Caldera Lot (and aid station), and then down East Leg, a fun, moderately-technical trail. Continue around to Upper Lake View, down Snakeback, and around Lower Lake View before the long climb up the River Mountain Hiking Trail switchbacks. Once at the top, run along Skyline, one of the most technical trails in Bootleg Canyon, until coming to the Caldera Lot once again. Continue out and run the Outer Caldera Loop, ending up at the Caldera Lot again before continuing through the Inner Caldera Loop and hitting the Caldera Lot one final time. From there, cruise down West Leg, up and over the saddle conenctor trail onto Mother, a fun winding trail that runs along the side of a steep dropoff, and down onto P.O.W to the Monument Aid Station. Continue with a slow grinder up P.O.W. and Par None before crossing over and running Upper Lake View, Snakeback, Lower Lake View, and the River Mountain Hiking Trail switchbacks again, this time returning via Boy Scout through the Caldera Lot, down West Leg, across the saddle again, to Mother, and down to I.M.B.A. for the return trip to the finish line on Mother.
