Route information
5K Course
3.5 miles, 1000 ft of vertical climb
One of the toughest 5K courses on the west coast sharing the brutal climb up Ginger with the 5M and 10M — a climb that requires both your hands AND feet at times — before taking a very steep descent down Snakeback, returning to the finish line.

5M Course
5 miles, 1,000 ft of vertical climb
The most physically challenging course, the 5M starts out running down Middle Lake View until it hits Ginger, at which point things get fun! The next 3/4 mile consists of an 850ft climb that requires both your hands AND feet at times. The reward for finishing the climb up Red Mountain is running down Hike-A-Bike followed by a trek down the most technical trails in Bootleg Canyon: Skyline and East Leg.

10M Course
10 miles, 2,000 ft of vertical climb
The most mentally challenging course, the 10M starts by running the physically challenging 5M course, then continues on Upper Lake View to the G-String downhill trail, to Lower Lake View, and finally to the River Mountain Hiking Trail and the grinding climb towards and up Bootleg Canyon's infamous switchbacks. Once the switchbacks have been conquered, your run will continue up Hike-A-Bike to the top of Red Mountain before descending down Snakeback, a 800-ft drop over 1.1 miles.
