Brooklyn Marathon & Half Marathon routes

The course starts on the Eastern Parkway by the Brooklyn Museum. The route takes you through the streets of Brooklyn's neighborhoods, including Prospect Heights, Crown Heights, Windsor Terrace and Kensington. The race finishes in Prospect Park.

The full marathon follows the same course as the half marathon, but does 5 laps of Prospect Park.

There will be aid stations and restrooms approximately every 1.5 miles. Medical support will be provided throughout.

Raceday Logistics

You must register in advance of the day. Collect your race bib, and any merchandise at the City Point Expo, at BKLYN Studios in downtown Brooklyn.

Expo Times:

  • Thursday 17th October: 10am-8pm
  • Friday 18th October: 10am-6pm

Saturday 19th October:

  • 07:00 - Marathon and Half Marathon Starts
  • 11:30 - Cut-off for Half Marathon
  • 13:35 - Cut-off for Full Marathon
Volunteers

If you volunteer at an NYC run, you will get $50 in race credit for any future event. Alternatively, $25 will be donated to a charity of your choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I sign-up on the day?
For this event, there is no registration on raceday. You can purchase entry at the expo at an extra cost of $15-20.
What are the age restrictions?
Half Marathon: Participants must be aged 16 or over Marathon: Participants must be aged 18 or over
Is there a cut-off time?
Half Marathon: within 4hr30mins (20 mins per mile) Marathon: within 6hr35mins (15 mins per mile) If you are slower than this pace, there will no longer be aid stations and on-course amenities provided, and you may be asked to stop.
Where can I leave my bags?
There will be a bag check area provided in the Park, near the start line.
Are there toilets?
Yes, there will be toilets provided.
Where can I find my results?
Your results will be emailed to you, and the full results will be posted on the event organiser's website. You will also be able to view your finishing line photos and videos.
Are dogs or strollers allowed?
No, dogs and strollers are not permitted on the course.
Can I wear headphones?
It is not permitted to wear headphones during the race. If you desperately want to listen to music, you are allowed to wear one earbud in. If you are seen wearing both earbuds or headphones, you may be disqualified.
