Did the race in 2022
2022 Bubble Run - We made the most of it but must say we were disappointed. Husband signed the family up several months ago when it was advertised as $35 (for a family of 5) race thinking it was a low cost race we could all enjoy. On the day of - First red flag was the $20 parking fee. Second red flag - zero signs to direct you where to go and what to do. Third red flag was the $5 per person packet pickup if you chose not to drive to another state to do pre-pickup. So what started as a $35/family race turned into a $80/family race. To add insult to injury the course in MD was horrible. First mile was on an extremely dusty, somewhat narrow, gravel, path which made it hard to accommodate those who wanted to run as many walked. The next mile was on patchy trails where only 50% of the bubble machines were fully functioning. I could go on about things like water stations, limited bubbles (course looks NOTHING like the advertisements), long lines, zero course support….but will say the other attendees made it festive and fun. The music at the start line was pretty neat. It was great to see so many folks out with their families.

This wasn't the best experience for me. It wasn't exactly what I expected. I expected the course to be full of bubbles; not bubble stations. I did not expect to was on what appeared to be fine gravel or sand. The grassy trails were horrible; the paths were uneven. I saw parents struggling with baby strollers. Easy way to get hurt. Let's talk about the water stations or lack there of. The very first station was about midway through the race and ran out of water. The next was at the finish line coming from a water hose. The $20 parking fee was ridiculous too. I was a little disappointed. Will not be doing this one again.

I did not enjoy it, the illusion is that is a full race in and thru bubbles. It is not, there is only one bubble machine by the dj booth. Second for packet pick up: it was all the way in Va, who's driving to Va,, that an hour drive for me, so since you don't go pick it up your charged 5 dollars for a pick up fee for each person in your party. Next 20 parking that is not noted during the initial sign-up they send updates with these other hidden charges. NOt organized, you arrive and just follow the crowd, not signs or employees to direct you to where you should go(example, I had to ask several people where the packet pick up tents where, lots of us didn't know)...I would never do this again..it was not what I expected
