  • Did the Half Marathon in 2018

The first thing is that the race was very well organized. The great communication of information before the race was clutch for an out of towner like me. The option to camp in the group campsite the night before for free was also a great feature. The course was okay... a flat and fast course without a lot of variation. There are a couple of parts with views of the river, but most of the course is on double track flat trails. The most interesting part of the course was where it winds around a marsh, and there are roots, mud, and bridges to cross over. Overall, I would do this course again for the organization, atmosphere, and the potential to get a great time on the course.

To be fair, I run mainly on roads. But I tripped and fell 3 times which made this a miserable experience for me. Ive run in trails before but this course was out to get me. I hurt my ribs and sprained a finger. But I did finish walking most of the last 5 miles. I wont do this one again.
