Route information
This beautiful Californian triathlon series includes a variety of races for any type of athlete from Paddleboarders to traditional triathletes and everything in between. The course is set in the stunning Angels Camp on New Melone Lake, which offers swimmers a calm ~70 degree swim for their race.
After the race indulge yourselves in a celebration with awesome music, exciting race day speakers, delicious food (including burritos, fresh fruit, muffins and bagels) and refreshments.
A highlight of the day is the post-race massage free of charge.

How will the California Triathlon be timed?
This event will be professionally chip timed and participants will be asked to return their chips after the event otherwise they may face a $30 replacement fee.

What is a Paddle Triathlon at the California Triathlon?
The Paddle Triathlons are a Paddle, Bike, Run Race that follows the same distances as Sprint/Olympic triathlons. The only difference is that instead of the Swim, participants will be on Stand-Up Paddle-boards.

When can I pick up my race packet for the California Triathlon?
There will be two options to pick up your race packs before the event: Friday between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm at Sports Basement Berkeley, and Saturday e between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm at New Melones Lake.

What time does transition open on race day for the California Triathlon?
Transition opens at 5:00 am and participants will then be allowed to begin organizing their equipment and race gear.
