Due to the event being ran on a trail system vs a road took away the uniqueness of this is area. My time was recorded incorrectly (18 min difference) . With really only one food truck and nothing else around the event, it didn't really have me wanting to do this half marathon again.

The set up was pretty bad overall. No salt tabs or goo offered during the event. It looked like they ran out of water and the staff was not medically trained to deal with personnel falling out. Witnessed one member from staff unsure what to do when runner fell out. Luckily, a spectator was medically qualified and present to assist. Overall, this was terrible and would suggest better planning and set up.

Me gusto correr en este lugar porque es muy seguro y no te expones a cruzar entre los automobiles y los puntos de hidratacion no se retiran hasta que todos lleguen a la meta final.

The course was poorly marked, with no signage as to direction. The course was 4 loops and on the last loop runners were supposed to veer to the left on a fork instead of a right, but there was no sign indicating it. Because of this, myself and many runners alongside me did not run the right path to the finish line. The race director, Bill, indicated at the beginning of the race that runners were just supposed to "know the course." Bill did not have a gate opened that was necessary for runners to stay on course, and so runners had to run off course to get around the gate. Bill mentioned to us before the race that there were no pacers, but assured us that there were "mile markers to help us." The course was missing over 6 mile markers. Bill was rude and loud and poorly managed the race. It appeared that he was doing much of the managing on his own, and based on his personality and the way he spoke to the ladies he was working with at the packet pickup, it felt like he was power tripping. He should not manage another race without proper help. Myself and my friends will not be attending any races managed by him again.

The race was exactly as advertised - a well-run event on a bike path along a riverbed. Flat and fast. This is a good event to try for a BQ. The race staff and runners were very friendly and supportive.

Seems like a high price for a course on a bike path that was still open to the public, required several laps, and had no bathrooms available along the course. Organization was great and the tacos were a great cherry on top.

The guy who emceed the whole event (race start + trophies) was incredible. Organization was great. The only downsides for me were the course (psychological torture with the out-and-back so many times) and the no cups at water stations -- love the environmental consideration behind it, but part of the joy of racing is not needing to carry anything!

This event was poorly ran. For how much money it cost, it was appalling that cups were not provided for runners when it was so hot outside. On top of this, it seemed as if none of the crew members were equipped to help guide runners, specifically on the last lap of the course. When the race started, there was a far too casual announcement to make sure everyone knew the path of the course despite it being 6am (start time) at that point. Then, the organizer of the race quickly said "go" giving us no preparation to start our watches. Then, the gate to the bike path was locked causing all the runners to have to go around while yelling back to everyone to go around. The run itself became routine and was easy to figure out. However, on the final lap I asked about six crew members if I needed to go to the finish line or up the bike path again. Not a single person gave me an answer and they all looked confused. I ran straight to the finish line thankfully and finished. However, my boyfriend went off course due to confusion and heat exhaustion and ended up fainting up at the top (not the finish line). When he fainted, medical professionals did not respond but told us he needed to walk DOWN to the medics to which we replied he had passed out and unable to do so. The medics did their best, but were ill equipped to help him. He then was transferred via ambulance which we had to call ourselves. This race was a disaster and should be far more equipped if it is going to be a Boston Qualifier. If you are not going to provide cups, prepare for many runners to be dehydrated as it should not be required to run with a cup for almost four hours in the blazing sun. It is also unacceptable to have so many bystanders on course handing out water and getting in the way of other runners. I will not recommend this race and hope in the future the necessary steps are taken to make sure runners have the correct information and care if need be.
