Cape Girardeau ONE & DONE 1-mile Race

Welcome to the Cape Girardeau Road Runners' fourth annual 1-mile race! Get ready for a fast and flat race that's perfect for both beginners and experienced runners. If you've been wanting to try running, this 1-mile race is a great opportunity to join in the fun. Bring your family along and embark on an exciting running adventure together. Experienced runners, this is your chance to test your speed on a fast and flat course. See how fast you can complete a 1-mile road race and even have the opportunity to set a new Missouri State Record! Don't miss out, register today to secure your spot in the race and get the best wave start. The entire race will take place within the beautiful Shawnee Park. When you're not running, visit our vendors indoors during packet pickup and warm up with some delicious hot drinks after the race. The race will be timed, and runners will start in waves based on their estimated finish times. We will be awarding prizes to the Overall Male & Female winners, as well as 1st - 3rd place in each 10-year age group. Please note that only service animals are allowed at the event, no other pets are permitted. We have some exciting awards up for grabs! There will be awards for the Male & Female Overall winners, Masters Male & Female Overall winners, and various age division awards. The age groups are divided into male and female categories and include: 0-7, 8-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Packet pickup will take place on Friday, FEB 24 from 3:00-6:00 P.M. at Missouri Running Company, and on Saturday, FEB 25 from 7:00-8:45 A.M. By participating in this event, you'll be supporting a great cause. All funds raised will go towards the Cape Girardeau Road Runner's efforts to support youth running programs in the area, as well as the adult running community. Race day registration will close at 8:30 a.m., so be sure to register early to secure your spot and wave start. As organizers, the safety of our participants is our top priority. The race will take place rain, snow, or shine, except in cases of severe weather or unsafe road/trail conditions. In such cases, we may need to make alterations to ensure everyone's safety. Please note that no refunds or credits will be given in the case of cancellation due to weather, as all net proceeds are used to further the Cape Girardeau Road Runner's mission in the community.
