Carolina Ugly Sweater Run

Join us for the Carolina's Ugly Sweater 5K and 1K Elf Run, the most exciting day of the winter! Walkers and pets are all welcome, as long as they're friendly and leashed. We're thrilled to announce that the incredible Maney and LauRen from Kiss 95.1 will be hosting the event once again! And that's not all, we have some special guests lined up, including Chubby from the Charlotte Checkers, Homer from the Charlotte Knights, and even Mickey and Minnie Mouse, all rocking their ugly sweaters! But wait, there's more! Enjoy mimosas, wine, and beer from Divine Barrel Brewery as you soak up the festive atmosphere. This event is all about fun for the whole family, and it's also our biggest fundraising event of the year. Our goal is to raise $50,000.00 through 250 registrations in 2024. You can make a difference by donating and spreading the word to your friends and family. The festivities will start and finish in Jetton Village, where you'll find food trucks to satisfy your hunger. And here's some exciting news: the first 800 5K and 1K registrations will receive a Christmas ornament, and everyone will get a FREE chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-A! Isn't that incredible? You'll also have the option to purchase our softest-in-the-Carolinas Ugly Sweater t-shirt when you register for $12.50 (adults) or $10.00 (youth). We'll also have t-shirts available for purchase at the event for $15. Get ready for a fantastic day because Santa will be there to greet you and pose for family photos! Make sure to snap some shots with Homer and Chubby to show your support for the Knights and the Checkers on social media. After the run or walk, you can enjoy lunch, grab a few drinks, make cotton candy, and have a blast with giveaways and laughter as we kick off December. For the little ones, we have the Kid's 1K Elf Run starting at 12:30 p.m. It's recommended for ages 10 and under, and each registered runner will receive a finisher ornament for their Christmas tree. You can also purchase race t-shirts for $12. And let's not forget about the prizes! There will be awards for the best overall costume, Best Elf, Best Grinch, Best Santa, and Best Ugly Sweater. Plus, the top male and female runners in each age bracket will receive a $200 Lululemon gift card. By participating in this race, you're not only in for a day of fun but also supporting Cree Cares, our nonprofit organization dedicated to getting underprivileged kids involved in sports.
