Race around the City of Avalon on Catalina Island to finish off an epic triathlon season. Great for beginners and veterans, it's mixed course with flat parts and hills, so the perfect challenge for a bit of triathlon tourism. Come for holiday vibes or to enjoy the beautiful views.

Friday
4-7 pm: Packet pickup (Island Spa)

Saturday
7:30 am: Packet Pickup & Registration (Wrigley Stage)
8:30 am: Course Talk (Transition Area)
9:00 am: First Wave Triathlon (Avalon Pier) 5 Triathlon Waves leaving every 3 minutes (see schedule)
9:15 am: Duathlon & 5K Start (adjacent to Wrigley Stage)
10:30 am: 5K Awards
11:15 am: Triathlon/Duathlon Awards

FAQs

There will be a mandatory course talk that all participants MUST attend in order to pick-up their packet. NO EXCEPTIONS! With so many athletes competing, we need to make sure every athlete is made aware of safety procedures and protocol out on the course.

  • Did the Sprint Triathlon in 2018

    Loved it! I will definitely being doing it again this year. The bike killed me, but I plan to train harder on that. Unfortunately, my goggles broke right before the swim so I had to do backstroke. I will hopefully have better results next time.
