Be prepared for possibly run through some mud, besides that a very quick course. The post race event were also very nice.

I'm not much of a sweets person, but they had healthy recovery food too. A great event for beginners or casual runners.

I really enjoyed the course it seemed flat except for the 1 little hill but I had no trouble with it. I set a new PR in my half marathon time. With all the positives of the this race, 1 thing that I would change is maybe start the 5K a little later, maybe 15 to 30 minutes. this will allow most of the half marathon people be a little farther and alleviate some of the congestion on the course. Overall great race.

Had a ball with my granddaughter. We chatted, laughed and took selfies. It was her first event. My granddaughter absolutely loved the chocolate buffet and her medal. She even wore the medal to church the next day. The organises and volunteers were friendly and helpful. Would recommend this event. I am from Australia so was very happy to find this event and will definitely do it again if I am visiting my son and his family next year at same time. Thanks for a great event.

Water stations - wished they would have handed us the water instead of us having to stop and get it. Most times there were people stopped to get theirs, which caused others to have to stop completely. Liked it being in the gym. Was disappointed in the food. Not as many options as past two years. No strawberries and barely in Rice Krispie treats. Medal was awesome. Love that we are able to stay inside prior to start.

As with most races, first 200 yards was too narrow. No signs for packet pickup lines...waited 10 minutes in the wrong line.
  • Did the Half Marathon in 2018

From packet pick-up to race morning, everything felt great! I enjoyed that we could stand in the building to stay warm and wait for the race start. As a back-of-the-pack pacer, there was still food/drinks after the race for those late finishers, which was great! I didn't even think about not receiving a medal until walking into the building...and then we were stopped by a couple guys sitting off to the side. I wish the "receiving the medal" was a little more "grand" than "Hey, what are you a runner? What distance did you run? Here." For the size of the race, I was very happy with the overall organization of the event.

Trails were a little narrow for passing initially but it was a good course
  • Did the Half Marathon in 2018

The course was a bit narrow in some parts, but overall was great! Packet pick-up and the race was well organized, and it was nice to be able to wait inside before and after the race as it was fairly cold outside.
