This event lets participants jet across the SIlver Strand State Beach at low tide to support local combat-wounded veterans. The choice is yours over how you'd like to complete the 5 mile beach course. With the option to either bike, run or walk, there's fun to be had for all the family.

Route information
This course is uniquely held on the Silver Strand State beach, with runners cycling or biking over this ground during low tide at 8:00am.
All participants will begin the race looking over San Diego Bay and will bike or run up to the North end of the beach. The beach is very flat, through runners and bikers, in particular, participants should make sure to stick away from the water edge to avoid any accidents.
The course finishes at Coronado in this point-to-point event where runners can take in views of the Cabrillo National Monument and the vast North Pacific that opens up in front of them.

Those traveling by car should follow route 75 and signs heading east to the Silver Strand State Beach. There is public parking on the beach itself where participants can drop their cars before returning to collect them via the race shuttle.
Those biking to the event can take the San Diego Bike Route from Coronado or Imperial Beach towards the start line at the Silver Strand Beach.
Event day logistics
Saturday
1-3pm Packet Pickup at the Union Bank Parking lot (800 Orange Ave, Coronado, CA). Friends can pick up race packets on behalf of runners by providing the name of the proxy runner.
Sunday
6:30-8:00am Onsite registration opens and late packet pick up begins
8:00am Race Starts
10:15am Awards Ceremony
10:15am After-Party at Rails End Beer Co
10:20am Dance Party and lucky contests with the Crowd favorite winning free sneakers from Road Runner Sports
Packet Pickup
Runners can pick up their race packet in advance on Thursday between 4-7:00pm at Union Bank Parking lot. It is also possible to pick up race packets on the event day at 6:30am. Custom shirts will be given to those who have signed on the day after they complete their race.
T-Shirt
All runners will be given a green tech shirt after completing the event.
Awards
The top 3 Men and Top 3 Women overall will be awarded a prize, with the top 3 in each age group winning a pint glass (14 and under, 15-19, 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's+).
Water stations
There are 4 water stations between the start and finish lines on the course.
Toilets
There are beach toilets on the north and south side of the park.
Strollers
Strollers are allowed on the course with no additional fee.
Online processing fee
Avoid the online processing fee by sending a physical registration form to Coronado Rotary Low Tide Ride and Stride P.O. Box 180487, Coronado, CA 92178-048.
Charity
The race supports local military and first responders.
Course cut-off
The finish line ends 2 1/2 hours after the race begins, so feel free to walk the course.
Age Requirements
Runners of any age can participate in this event.
Bikes
As the event will be held at low tide, all bikes will zip across the course, don't worry about them sinking into the sand. There's also a freshwater rinse and free chain lube available at the finish.
Dogs
Dogs are not permitted on the racecourse.
Non-registrants
If you have not signed up for the event, please do not run alongside participants on the side of the beach. There are federal officials who will turn back non-registrants.
