Route information
This event is the perfect family-friendly event to kick off your 4th of July festivities and shoot off like a firework across the start line in either the 12k (7.4 miles), 5k (3.1 miles), or Kids Half-Mile race.
These flat and fast 5k and 12k courses start in Coronado Tidelands Park by running under the iconic A American flag. The 12k will run along picturesque Glorietta Blvd and will extend south past the Navy Amphibious Base along the bike path and turn around approximately 1/4 mile past the Silver Strand Nature’s Bridge to Discovery.
Celebrate your runners high by visiting the post-race expo before heading back to Orange Avenue to attend the West Coast's largest 4th of July Parade.

Parking is free on surface streets and available on a first come first served basis. Detailed parking instructions will be emailed to all participants prior to July 2nd.
By Ferry
Avoid the traffic on the bridge and take the Coronado Ferry. All pre-race ferry departures will take place at Broadway Pier. You must pick up your ferry tickets at the packet pick up on July 1 or 2. Your round trip ferry will cost $14 and can be added at registration.

Photo IDs are required. You may pick up a friend if you have a copy of their ID. Please plan on attending one of the pre-race packet pick-ups.
