Crystal Springs routes

The course takes runners through the luscious redwood forests and dark green fields of ferns that lace King's Mountain and Bear Gulch.

Terrain: The course takes place on mostly single tracks through the forests with about a quarter of each course putting runners on dirt roads.

Elevation Gain: This course is fairly hilly and involves some serious climbs throughout so runners should prepare their quads for a bit of a burn. The 8K has approximately 700 feet elevation gain, whilst the half and 35K routes include 2,200 and ~3,000 feet respectively. The big boy/girl routes (Marathon and 50Ks) include 3,800 and 4,500 feet of elevation gain - so make sure you are warmed up.
