About
Although this run celebrates the dead, those scorching around Central Park will be feeling very much alive. This 5k and 10k course takes participants past beautiful lakes and wildlife, rewarding them all with a buzzing expo after the race. Don your best face-paint, this is set to be a cracker.

Route information
This loop course takes 5k and 10k participants around the panoramic City Park. Starting next to Ferril Lake, the course snakes towards East 17th avenue on a flat, path surface.
Participants will then complete their loop of the lake around the halfway point after a downhill section. The course then heads past the stunning Duck Lake where participants can take in beautiful wildlife, after this there is a slight uphill section towards Bible and Carriage Houses.
The final mile for the 5k takes runners towards the start/finish area where they will finish next to Ferril Lake. Those running in the 10k will complete another loop before completing their course.
There is an aid and water station at the 1.5-mile point, those in the 10k will run past this twice.

Parking is available at the East High School track and National Jewish center visitor lot. There may also be parking available at Denver Zoo and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. When parking please make sure not to park directly in the lot or garage in front of the Museum itself.
Parking is also available in neighboring streets around City Park.
Directions
Those living locally should follow 17th avenue from the south and 23rd avenue from the north.
Those traveling into Denver should follow the I-70 and turn onto the CO 2 to reach the event.

Packet Pickup
Participants can pick up their race packets on Saturday from Runners Roost 1685 Colorado Blvd between 12:00 - 3:00 pm. There is also race day packet pickup, details will be confirmed closer to the event start. Packets will include a race bib that contains your timing chip.
Age Requirements
There are no age restrictions for this exciting event, meaning the whole family can take part.

All participants will receive a custom event T-shirt.
Awards
The top male and female finisher in each race will win a gift certificate for a new pair of shoes. Certificates from Runner's Roost will be awarded to the top 3 participants in the following categories.
5k (9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29 etc until 80's+).
10k (10 and under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39 etc until 80's+).
Water stations
There is an aid and water station at the 1.5-mile point, those in the 10k will run past this twice.
Virtual Race
The event can be run virtually, all participants in this format will be sent a free custom event t-shirt, medal, and bib number.
Toilets
There are public toilets located in City Park closeby to the City Park Tennis Courts.
Bicycles
Bicycles and other wheeled forms of transport including skateboards and roller skates are not permitted in the race.
