Daytona Beach Half Marathon

Well organized race from packet pickup to the finish. The course is not awesome but hey, its DAB so theres not a very good canvass to start from. The race track was gorgeous, very well organized and maintained. Kudos to the track management. My time was a joke, though lol

I had an excellent race. Well marked, well run. Just one thing, because it was on big roads and an out and back course with some twists and turns, the course came up long on my Garmin. Why? Cause the race is measured by the tangents and we run on the outside of the cones... which leads to a race thats 13.25 miles long.

This the 2nd year I run this 1/2 Marathon. Its a great event in a great location. The support along the route is very good. The bling for participating in the Speedway Challengeis the best.

It was a unique experience. I really love it. Very well organized, congratulations! I got my record. My son, Gustavo Mendes, run 3 miles and got best time in his category. Double accompleshment.

The race was extremely well organized! There were lots of water stops and restrooms at the stops. The pre-race information was very detailed. Great bling and towel after the race. Everything was just perfect. The volunteers were awesome. Loved running on the track. It was a great experience. Will definitely do the race again and recommend it to others.

This sums up my wonderful weekend that my kids got me for Christmas!! I really enjoyed running the Daytona International Speedway!! Would totally do this race again!! The course was great and felt extremely safe. Many water stops and Porta-potties! Very very well organized. Hotels close to venue for reasonable prices too!!

This is the 3rd year I have done this HM and it's my favorite one! Weather is usually great (Feb in Florida!) , and it is a flat course, except for the one bridge. There are so many police volunteers and the route is very clear. My daughter ran it for the first time this year and she asked me "are there places where we can go the wrong way?" because she's had that happen in other HM and Ms. I told her - no! It's so well marked. There were SO many water stations also! The medal and shirt and towel are all beautiful! I always tell everyone to run this HM! The track is very fun to run around also!

Race announcer, location, race car at the start, awards, and volunteers were all great!! I wish there had been more music on the course or more spectators out cheering. Overall, race was not especially competitive, would be more fun to have some more fast people. Typically giving out prize money - even if not a lot - brings in some serious competitors. Location is so cool I'd think that would be a big draw for people as well.

Excellent and different experience!! Beautiful course, I was so happy running around the speedway. I'll see you next year!!!
