Located in the stunning California Alps, the Death Ride course covers the traditional five mountain passes. This challenging course includes climbing Monitor Pass, Ebbetts Pass, and the final climb up the east side of Carson Pass. Finish the course and get a swag finisher's jersey.

The Death Climb: Tour of the California Alps is an intense, 103 mile ride with around 14,000' of climbing that covers both sides of three different mountain passes; Monitor Pass (On Hwy 89), Ebbetts Pass (On Hwy 4), and the Pacific Grade (Also on Hwy 4).
The full course with all 6 climbs is not for the faint of heart. It is a tough ride for only the most seasoned cyclists. However, for those wishing to be a part of this event but don't think they are up for the full course, can take on any number of climbs they like before returning to the finish. Only those who complete all 6 climbs with in the 13 hour time limit are eligible to receive a finisher's jersey and pin.

Exit Hwy 89 onto Turtle Rock County Park to reach the event. However, please remember Hwy 89 will be closed from 5am.
