Route information
Taking place in Winter, this Death Valley race will have mild temperatures, ranging between 30 and 40 degrees and highs hitting the low 70s. The entire course is below sea level and offers fantastic scenery throughout the local mountain ranges.
The Marathon will start on Titus Canyon Trailhead, running west through White Pass Summit and Red Pass Summit, passing through 5 aid stations, until reaching the finish line on Scotty's Castle Rd. The Half Marathon starts on Scotty's Castle Rd heads west, turning back to the start line once it reaches the second aid station, meaning it passes an aid station a total of 3 times.

Get full directionsBy Car
Exit the CA-190 or the Daylight-Pass Rd onto Scotty's Castle Rd to reach the event.
Parking
Parking will be available at the Ranch at Oasis at Death Valley.
Transport
Buses will be leaving from the finish line area to head to the marathon start line in the morning, and they will be leaving to go back there after the race finishes.

Bib Numbers
Bib numbers must be collected at the Athlete Check-in at the Borax Museum on the day of the race.
Course Markings
The race takes place on a single dirt road, meaning it will not need any course markings. Just stay on the single road until you see the finish.
Aid Stations
The Marathon will pass an aid station at miles 5, 10, 15, 20 & 23, and the Half Marathon will pass an aid station at miles 3, 6.5 & 10. Aid stations will be stocked with water, Gatorade, sports bars, bananas and a variety of sweet & salty snacks.
Bathrooms
There will be no bathrooms on the course. There will be bathrooms at the start and the finish areas
Transport
Buses will be leaving from the finish line area to head to the marathon start line in the morning, and they will be leaving to go back there after the race finishes.
