About
The MLK Unity 5K Run/Walk is in collaboration with the City of Southaven and has been supported by the Southaven Mayor’s office, Mayor’s Youth Council, local churches and citizens of DeSoto County. This event began as a small walk but has grown into an annual tradition and since has expanded into a 5K Run/Walk. Its purpose is to celebrate unity among peers and the value added by asking all ethnic groups to recognize the ties that bind us all together with people from all walks of life to work together as one group.
