It was a great introduction to trail racing. The course was pretty goodit wasnt terribly technical while still offering its own challenges. Unfortunately, several athletes did get lost on the bluff or last two miles of the home stretch..and while GPS is really no good with trees and elevation, I cant help but wonder if the course was a little long. No doubt a ome of the disorganization came as a result of the primary race directors absencehe had surgery & couldnt come to the event..so I think the staff and volunteers did the best that they could with a difficult situation. Anyway, most everyone was in good spirits and there were amazing huckleberry pancakes at the finish line. 

This year we will have a 12k trail race. This race will begin on relatively flat terrain and then end up at Puget Sound where you will turn around and return to the finish area. This a very scenic and will provide a little challenge.
