The Elevate Race is a fundraiser for the annual Elevate service trip. Each June the Elevate group of First Baptist Church takes an opportunity to serve where there is a need. A great cause to be a part of! Do join in with your runner friends and challenge yourself with the 5k or 12 hour race.

Route information
Each loop is 1.036 miles for the 5k. The 5k is three loops. For the 12 Hour race there is a minor adjustment to make each loop 1 mile. The loop is entirely on the First Baptist / VCA campus, and during the 5k there will be volunteers throughout the course in order to provide a safe environment for even the youngest of runners. 12 Hour runners will need to have either a headlamp or flashlight to use on the back portion of the loop where there are no lights.

- 5k, A plaque will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers overall as well as the top male and female in each age group.
- 12 Hour: A trophy will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers overall as well as a medal or trophy for those that complete a marathon, 50k, 50 miler or 100k. If more than one finishes with the same distance, their overall placing is based on the order they finished their final lap.

There will be cones and caution tape blocking the course as no traffic will be allowed to drive on the course. Anyone needing to access the campus from 7:45pm on Friday through 10:45am on Saturday for any reason (including the gym and residences) will need to park in the designated parking area and walk from there.
The purple section is reserved for 12 hour participants in order to give them easy access to their vehicles each lap. You are encouraged to rest and have your supplies setup near the start / finish line, but you are allowed to access your vehicle freely. The red sections is for everyone else. This includes volunteers, 5k participants and any other guests.

8:45pm 12 hour race starts going counter clockwise
Saturday
12:45am 12 hour race switches to clockwise
4:45am 12 hour race switches back to counter clockwise

8:45am 12 hour race ends
8:45am 12 Hour awards ceremony
9:00am Arrival deadline for 5k runners
9:30am 5k race starts
