If you have never walked or run along the Pacific Coast in Encinitas in late November, you are in for the surprise of your life. Early morning offers a beautiful color to the Pacific Ocean. The waves have a special look during this time of the year. Start your Thanksgiving Holiday fun with friends and family at the Encinitas Turkey Trot 5k & 10k. It starts and finishes under the World Famous “ENCINITAS” Sign on Coast Highway 101.

What’s Included

Raceday Logistics

Packet Pickup

You can collect your race packet from Road Runner Sports (Carlsbad) 5617 Paseo Del Norte #100 Carlsbad, CA 92008

Packet pick-up will be open at the following times:

  • Tuesday 26th November: 1pm-7pm
  • Wednesday 27th November: 1pm-7pm

It is advised to collect your race bib and t-shirt before the day of the event in order to avoid long queues.

Race Day Schedule and Registration

Hit the alarm, stretch and run out the door to the Check-In. The 10k race begins at 7:30am, Kids K starts 7:40am and 5k Fun Run/Walk/Costume Contest starts at 8:00am.

FAQs

Q: Will water be provided?
A: Yes. There will be water stations throughout the event and at the start and finish line.

Q: Are strollers okay? What about dogs?
A: We encourage BOBs (Baby On Board) as this is a family event! No dogs, sadly.

Costume Contest (!) Rules
Register at the Costume Contest Registration table prior by 7:00 am

Awards will be given to the top three Individual and Group divisions who best display the spirit of Thanksgiving at the Encinitas Turkey Trot at a ceremony immediately following the conclusion of the 10K.
