This winding course takes participants on a scenic journey through Colorado which is largely downhill. With a gentle descent starting from the 0.5k mark, runners can build up plenty of speed throughout the length of Upper Bear Creek.
Infamously, the fastest 5k ever run in Colorado was on the course by Jason Hubbard in 1998 at 14:07.

There will be no parking available at the start location.
Event day logistics
Packet Pickup
Early Packet Pickup locations will be announced shortly, on raceday, entrants can pick up their race packets at the bus pickup locations on race morning.
10k participants can pick up their race packets at Xcel Energy, Evergreen, 5k participants can pick up race packets at Evergreen High School.
Transportation
There will be free bus transportation to the event starting from Evergreen High School, the buses for the 10k will leave from the Xcel Energy frontage road.
Age Requirements
There are no age restrictions for the event, meaning fun for all of the family.
Cut-off Time
There is no cut-off time for this event. Please do take your time and run at your own pace.
Awards
The top 3 participants in their categories in both the 5k and 10k will be recognized, the categories are as follows: 12 and under, - Ages 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+.
Commemorative Bib
All participants will receive a commemorative bib for competing in the event.
Chip-Timed Results
All participants will be chip-timed in the event, chips can be found in all competitor bibs.
