This fun and relaxed 5k is perfect for all participants. Sweep through a 5k street course which will have runners drifting past a beautiful reservoir or get involved in the 1k fun run if that's more your thing. All money goes towards Wheat Ridge High School too, even more reason to get outside.

This fun 5k course takes runners through the scenic streets of Wheat Ridge. Runners will begin at Wheat Ridge High School and travel down to Garland Street before turning onto 35th street.
All participants will be able to take in panoramic views of the North Henry Reservoir before they run off onto Everett Street and onto Estes street. All runners will then continue through Dudley street and complete a loop at Lutheran Parkway.
Participants will then follow the course back towards the start-finish area, ending at the High School after a small straightaway.
The 1-mile, 2-mile, and 3-mile points will be marked out throughout the course.

To reach Wheat Ridge High School, take the I 70 then Kipling Street before turning off on W 32nd avenue.
Parking
Parking is available on the north side of the school off of Holland Street and south of 37th avenue. The parking lots and areas on 32nd avenue will not be accessible on race morning.

9:00 am 5k Race Begins
Packet Pickup
Participants can pick up race packs between 9 - 5 am on Thursday and Friday and between 9 - 12 am on Saturday at Wheat Ridge High School. On race day, participants can pick up their race pack between 7:30 - 8:30 am at the High School.
Chip-Timed
All participants will receive chip-timed results.
Virtual
There is also the option to complete this event virtually.
Water and Aid Stations
Information on water and aid stations will be revealed closer to the event date.
Toilets
Toilet information at the venue will be provided closer to the event date.
Event Swag
Participants will receive a race shirt for competing in the event.
Age Requirements
There are no age restrictions for the 5k and fun run events, making them both perfect for the little ones. The fun run is also open to grown-ups too.
Award Ceremony
The top male and female runners will receive $100, the first and second runners up will receive gift certificates from Runners Roost Lakewood.
The top 3 male and female runners in the following categories win a gift certificate from Apple Ridge: 8 & under; 9-12,13-15, 16-19, every 5 years thereafter, 80 and over.
Tractor Pull
Kids can hop on the event tractor for a fun tour around the festivities.
Fun Run
There will be a fun run at the event, perfect for the little ones and any older participants too, get involved!
