Butler of Kentucky, who fought in the War of 1812 and the Mexican-American War. The park stands on the grounds of the Butler family farm, established by General Butler's father, Percival Butler, a Revolutionary War veteran. As you explore the park, you can visit the historic Butler-Turpin House, which dates back to 1859 and now serves as a fascinating museum.
