Your organiser

Double Racing® was created by Bob Anderson in the summer of 2010. Seven small events were staged by Ujena Fit Club in Mexico between Oct 2010 and Oct 2012 called the Bob Anderson 15k Challenge. Bob participated in each event to refine and develop this new sport called the Double Racing. The Double is a world class and family fun event. Runners of all abilities participated in the first Double. You too can do the DOUBLE!!!!

Route description

With three running options, this event is the perfect opportunity to set your next PB or simply enjoy stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge.

The three race options are:

Golden Gate 10K

UjENA Fit Club 5K

Double 8K: This is made up of two separate 5K and 3K legs. This includes a short break in between each leg called the 'Recovery Zone'. The time when the next leg starts is the Restart and the clock begins with the first leg. Its a new take on racing that gives participants a chance to recharge before blitzing the next leg.

This event was very disorganized. The path of the run was unclear, there were no traffic control for non participant pedestrians and after finishing the course there were not enough achievement medals for many of the runners because according to a staff member "not enough medals were ordered". I am very upset and beyond disappointed with this group. Why? Because I specifically flew into SFO to achieve my VERY 1st run EVER and to head back home after spending hundreds of dollars for flight and hotel accommodation + the cost of registration.. I have no achievement medal to commemorate my 1st run experience. This event left a very bad impression to me, and a 2star rating is being generous. The only positive about this experience was the beauty of the SF ambiance. I felt duped from the Organizer's misrepresentation.

Organizers are NO Bueno! This was my VERY 1st run, flew into SFO from another state thinking what better site to remember my first run. Very under staff, direction of the path for runners were unclear, no traffic control, pedestrians were blocking the path, and the worst part was THEY RAN OUT OF MEDALS. A staff member stated "we didn't order enough". I am VERY DISAPPOINTED AND A LOT upset. This was the only reason I flew to San Francisco. I paid my dues, did the work, and didn't have anything to take back to prove my very 1st run. AWFUL!
