The Grand Rapids Triathlon is the largest independent triathlon and proud host of five USAT National Championships over the course of our ten-year history. While our event brings in some of the best athletes from across the country, we have also been named one of the Top 5 Best Triathlons for Beginners in the country according to Triathlon Business International. This triathlon event is a chance for athletes of all skill levels to compete on a scenic riverside course, perfect for the novice through the seasoned triathlete. Offering Sprint, Olympic, and Half distance Triathlons, Aquabike and Relay events, this USA Triathlon sanctioned event promises heart-pounding excitement from start to the finish.

AGE GROUP TRIATHLON WINNERS, EACH DISTANCE -
Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male/female finishers of each
age group as follows:
19 & Under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-59, 80+, Clydesdales 39 & Under, Clydesdales 40 & Over, Athenas 39 & Under, Athenas 40 & Over.

Parking:
Shuttles will be running every 10 minutes and are free. Equipment is not allowed on the shuttles. Athletes can drop off their gear at the Athlete Drop-off shown on the map where it will be watched by volunteers, then park their vehicle, then return to that area by shuttle. Or athletes and their gear can be dropped off by their spectators at the Athlete Drop-off area and make their way to transition from there.

- 10:00 am – Transition Opens for Athletes to Remove Gear
IMPORTANT NOTE: You MUST have all your gear in transition by the 7 AM race start time. Athletes will not be able to place items in transition after the race has started so as to avoid interfering with athletes while they are competing.
PLEASE NOTE: For Swim Waves, each swim wave will receive a different cap color. Waves will be based on distance, sex and age. Swim wave start times will be posted at packet pickup.
