Route information
This planet we live on is a pretty incredible place, and we need to make sure it stays that way so get down to the Palo Alto Earth Day Festival to celebrate it and raise awareness.
The 5K loop follows a flat path that starts and finishes at Baylands Athletics Center and along the San Francisquito Creek before circling around Palo Alto's famous golf course. The 10K race will complete a similar course but one which extends south through Byxbee Park before doubling back towards the athletic center.
This race is the perfect place to set your next PB or if you are a more casual runner then simply sign up to enjoy a gorgeous day out.

Parking: Parking will be available in the lots off Geng Road near the Athletic Center, please follow signs and the assistants there to guide you. You are also encouraged to car-pool, use public transport or bike to the event in the effort of decreasing impact to the planet.

Will there be parking at the Palo Alto Earth Day 10K run?
Yes, there will be parking just next to the Baylands Athletic Center. You can access it via Geng Road and will be directed by traffic assistants on the day.
Can I bike to the Earth Day 10K or 5K run?
Yes and as a way of saying thank you - those who bike to the event will receive a free bike tune up and repair.
Is the Palo Alto 10K and 5K a zero waste event?
Yes, and this means you will have to bring your own reusable water bottles that can be filled up on site. Please limit your use of single use plastics.
