Hachie 50 Marathon, Ultra and Relay

Get ready for an incredible event coming your way on April 20, 2024! We're thrilled to announce that the Waxahachie Running Club and the Midlothian Running Club have teamed up with the Waxahachie Lions Club to bring you the Hachie 50. Not only will this event be a ton of fun, but it will also support the Waxahachie Lion's Club, which does fantastic work for local children and schools in Ellis County. It's a win-win! We've got an amazing race planned for you at Waxahachie's Getzendaner City Park, which will be mostly closed to traffic. The course is perfect for speed demons, as it's 90% on concrete sidewalks and 10% on dirt/gravel. Imagine running through a tree-lined path on a beautiful, fast, and flat out-n-back course. It doesn't get better than this! But wait, there's more! Every participant will receive a custom t-shirt to remember this epic event, and the medals are so unique, you'll want to show them off to everyone. Plus, we'll have free online race photos capturing every victorious moment. And let's not forget about the food and drinks – we'll have plenty to keep you fueled up during and after the race. Oh, did we mention the awards? The top 6 men and women in each event will receive individual awards, and for the relay event, we'll recognize the best male team, female team, and coed team. There are four amazing race options for adults to choose from, including the 50 Mile Ultra-marathon Race, 30 Mile Ultra-marathon Race, 26.2 Marathon Race (not a BQ certified course), and the 50 Mile Team Relay. We've also got something special for the little ones – a Kids 1 mile Fun Run/Walk on April 21. Now that you're excited, let us tell you a little more about the location. The event will take place at Getzendaner Park, located at 400 S Grand Ave, Waxahachie, TX 75165. It's a perfect spot for our race, with most of the park closed to traffic. By the way, the Waxahachie Running Club is an awesome non-profit, volunteer-run organization that promotes running and walking in Ellis County, just south of Dallas, TX. We're a welcoming and friendly group that caters to all levels, from beginners in our 5k training program to competitive marathoners, ultra-marathoners, trail-runners, and triathletes. Our mission is simple – bring runners and walkers together for safe and enjoyable fun-runs. And since our humble beginnings in June 2011, we've grown to over 1900 members. Incredible, right?
