Route information
Runners of all distances will trail primarily on dirt roads.
All distances will be marked with signs, distance markers, arrows and gypsum/white chalk on the ground.
Particular signs will indicate different things:
  • (ALL) - all distances continue in that direction.
  • (S) - SPLIT distances go different ways.
Single track trails will only be marked at the beginning and at the end.

Parking
There is a free parking available in the dirt parking lot in the back of the Hacienda entrance to Almaden Quicksilver Park, in New Almaden near the La Foret restaurant.
By Car
From Highway 85, take the Almaden Expressway exit south 4.5 miles to Almaden road. Exit to the right on Almaden Road and drive 3 miles along Almaden Road through the town of New Almaden to the unpaved parking lot on the right. The cross streets are Almaden Road and Bertram Road.

Registration can be located at Almaden/Quicksilver Park, Hacienda entrance.
Cut-off Time
There will be a 9 hour time limit to complete this event. There are also cut-off times for precise distances within the races. They are as follows:
  • Mile 13 – 12:00, Hacienda Aid Station (All Distances)
  • Mile 16 – 13:00, Mockingbird Aid Station (All Distances)
  • Mile 20 – 14:00, Woods Parking Lot Water Station (All Distances)
  • Mile 23.5 – 15:00, Hacienda Aid Station
  • Mile 27 – 16:00, Woods Parking Lot Water Station (50K)
  • Mile 30.5 – 17:00, Hacienda Parking Lot Aid Station (50K)

Can I wear headphones/earphones during the Hacienda Hills Run - May?
Yes, however, when you come into aid stations the event organiser recommends that you remove your listening devices so that they can communicate with you effectively. It is also recommend to only use one earpiece or to keep the volume low enough so you can hear the sounds of the environment, such as runners coming from behind or hikers up ahead.
