The Pumpkin Run has been a traditional part of the Pumpkin Festival for many years. The 5K and 10K Run events take participants on the Coastal Trail along the bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

The Pumpkin Power 5K Obstacle Challenge has obstacle stations and activities along the trail. The Kids' Fun Run is about 1/4 mile long and every child gets a goodie bag. All participants receive a light breakfast, a t-shirt and a pumpkin.
