Route information
The ride will set off from Lebec, you'll head straight for the foothills of Mount Pinos providing some epic views. From there, you'll pass through Apache Saddle and have a glorious descent through Los Padres National Forest and the Bitter Creek National Wildlife Refuge. Then, after cycling past Cuyama Valley and Cuyama River, you'll make it to the infamous Heartbreak Hill where your legs will be working overtime to get you up and over. After Heartbreak Hill, you've just got to make it through Frazier Park before heading back to Lebec for the finish.

Lebec is about an hour and 30 minutes north west of Los Angeles along the 101 N.

You'll head out on the course in waves dependent on your predicted time to finish.
Cut-off Times
The overall cut-off time will be at 5pm when all riders must have completed the course.
The aid stations will have rolling closures to keep on pace with a 5pm finish.

There will be a SAG support vehicle that can help you out.
Will I need to wear a helmet for the Heartbreak Hundred?
Yes. You won't be able to ride without a helmet. Do not forget it!
