Very low budget affair.Stops had nothing but water and Gatorade. No porta pottys on the route. Most of the half marathon was running along a busy hi way. Would not recommend this event.

The half marathon course was some highway and off road. Although my wife did the 8k and it was all highway. So that being said if that is no big deal to you then I would suggest this race! They are very friendly and encouraging to all runners. It is a small town type of race. And when I contacted the organizer of this race that is exactly what they said to me. So its not a ton of people out there cheering you on like a big city race. However the sights, and nature make up for any hesitation that I originally had. I only had run big city races prior to this event. I took out my music half way through to talk to a few runners and left them out because I was in nature all around me. And yes it is a road race. But very beautiful . And they stretched you out after you finished for free!!! And a very nice band playing live!!!

This was a great experience.. The event was low key but just the size event I was looking for. The course was well marked and plenty of volunteers.

Event is well organized with great support. The bridge portion of the race added an extra difficulty element to an otherwise flat/fast course. Its a great getaway destination race.

Good race with nice shirt. I would like more pace groups. Challenging bridge on both halves of course for 1/2 marathon.
