Join the movement that's taken over the racing world. Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k is returning to Minneapolis on April 11! Start and finish in Boom Island Park amongst the biggest chocolate aficionados in Minneapolis. This year, train, race, and celebrate with us all the way to the finish line. We're with you through the season.

Your organiser

The Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k, coined as America’s Sweetest Race, is brought to you by RAM Racing. Established in 2008, the inaugural Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k ran through the streets of Chicago, Illinois. Since its inception, over 200,000 participants have run for chocolate, making it the fastest growing race series in the nation! Each Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k race features both a 15k (9.3miles) and 5k (3.1miles) distance and all runners are encouraged to join the fun! Participants receive an award winning goodie bag, which they collect at the expo along with their race packet. The chocolate really begins to flow at the Post Race Party where runners enjoy music, Hot Chocolate merchandise, and a finisher’s mugs filled with hot chocolate, chocolate fondue and tasty dippable treats! Make-A-Wish® is the official race charity of the Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k! Make-A-Wish® creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We are on a quest to bring every eligible child's wish to life, because a wish is an integral part of a child's treatment journey. Research shows children who have wishes granted build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness.

What's included:

All 15K finishers will receive an official Hot Chocolate Minneapolis medal to commemorate their awesome achievement. Heads up: while this medal may give you chocolate cravings, it’s actually made from metal alloy. We recommend displaying this sturdy, high-quality medal on a wall for maximum bragging rights. Each medal features a chocolate bar lookalike wrapped in gold, hung by a shimmering Finisher ribbon. You’ll be handed your medal after crossing the finish line. All Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k participants will receive a super-sweet goodie bag to commemorate your race experience! The Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k goodie bag features a navy full-zip fleece-lined jacket with a hood--with cheerful coral accents in women's sizes and cool aqua accents in men's and youth sizes! Wear this jacket with pride through the season! We know that you want to look great in your goodie bag, so be sure to stop by the Try On and Swap area at the Expo after you pick up your selected size. There, you can try on a sample goodie bag, and if you need to swap, you can check out the sizes we have available for exchange. Since it is a true participant swap, sizes are subject to availability. In order to fill as many swap requests as possible, we are not able to accommodate swaps between colors. Please keep in mind that there is no swap available on race day.

The Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k Minneapolis course highlights the city’s biggest attractions. We hold our races to the highest quality standards, from start to finish, course design and accuracy, emergency medical plans that exceed industry standards all in the name of your safety. Along those lines, all Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k RAM Racing events have a USATF-certified course with a distance that has been certified for accuracy. Please note that although we’ll try our best to avoid it, the course and start time is subject to change.
Please note that a 15 minute mile pace or faster is required for both the 5k and 15k race distances. A 15 min. mile pace is roughly four miles per hour, equivalent to a very brisk walk. If you fall below this pace, the race organizers can no longer guarantee course support. Aid Stations, medical support, portable toilets, and road closures will begin to become unavailable to participants. The local police and race organizers will ask you to reroute to a shorter version of the course, or move up onto the sidewalk where you will be required to obey regular traffic laws.
