iCAN Tri Spring routes

6-7 year old - Swim - 50 Meters (2 lengths of the pool), Bike - 2 Miles (1 lap around the campus), Run - 1/2 Mile

8-9 year old - Swim - 50 Meters (2 lengths of the pool), Bike - 2 Miles (1 lap around the campus), Run - 1/2 Mile

10-11 year old - Swim - 100 Meters (4 lengths of the pool), Bike - 2 Miles (1 lap around the campus), Run - 1/2 Mile

12-13 year old - Swim - 150 Meters (6 lengths of the pool), Bike - 4 Miles (2 Laps around the campus), Run - 1 Mile

14-15 year old - Swim - 200 Meters (8 lengths of the pool), Bike - 4 Miles (2 laps around the campus), Run - 1.75 Miles

16-17 year old - Swim - 250 Meters (10 lengths of the pool), Bike - 6 Miles (3 laps around the campus), Run - 2.2 Miles

18+ adult wave - Adults will follow the same route as the 16-17 year olds. Adult waves may be broken down further based on age or gender to allow spacing and safety.

Welcome to the iCAN Tri Spring, formerly known as the Sierra Kids Tri! This iconic, Clovis based race will once again take place this year at the Alta Sierra School. This race features a pool swim, a flat, looped course for the bike, and an equally flat run course. Distances per age group are listed below. This race is a junior championships points qualified race with the USAT. The race is sanctioned with the USAT.

  • Youth and Junior awards will be given for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female in each age group.
  • Adult awards will be for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place female and male OVERALL adults. USAT rankings will be sent in 5 year increments as required by USAT for points purposes.
Raceday Logistics

Packet pickup will be held Saturday April 13th at Rubber Soul Bike Shop in Fresno CA from 12:00pm - 5:00pm.

Bring your bike with you to packet pickup if you would like to have it pre-checked and pre-approved in order to skip the bike check line at transition the morning of the race.

Pre-checked bikes will receive a race specific check sheet along with the race approved sticker. These must be shown at the entrance to transition in order to bypass the bike check.

NOTE: Rubber Soul will be available the week of April 8th for a complimentary bike check. If you would like to have your bike pre-checked and pre-approved in order to skip the bike check line at transition the morning of the race, just bring it by Rubber Soul during regular business hours any day from April 8th through 13th. They will look over and approve your bike (or inform you of the necessary modification) free of charge, and supply you with your transition pass in order to skip the bike check the morning of the race. Please not that any modifications or maintenance require to be done to the bike will be billed at normal parts/shop rate by Rubber Soul. They will approve these with you before making any changes.

Race Day packet pick up will also be available at the race site from 6:00am until the start of your wave.

6:00am - Race Day packet pick up opens

6:30am - Transition opens

7:00pm - Transition Closes

7:10am - All athlete REQUIRED MEETING at finish line

7:30am - First wave (18+ adults) starts

What will we be looking for when during your bike check? Here are the requirements:

Handle bars MUST have bar ends

NO aero-bars on bikes for kids less than 12 years old

NO training wheels on bikes for kids (or adults) over 5 years old

Bike is sturdy and is safe working order
