About
The inspiration of Jodi Brammeier who passed away in 2008 from ovarian cancer, this event consists of a 5k or a 1-mile walk if you prefer a more leisurely challenge. Ever popular, this is the 13th edition of the race. With flat routes and a strong community feel, this is not one to miss.

Route information
The course is a 5k route that is run on tarmac through the scenic City Park. The route is predominantly flat and ends in lush parkland. Runners and walkers can take in views of the overlooking city center while completing their respective courses.

Parking
Free parking is available at East High School and around City Park in the surrounding neighborhood. Please make a note that there is no shuttle service from East High School to the pavilion.
Handicapped Parking
Get in contact with jeanene@colo-ovariancaner.orgExternalLink in a minimum of two weeks prior to race day if you require handicapped parking.
Parking is located at the City Park Pavillion (repark at East High afterward), or park in the Denver Museum of Nature and Science lot.
By Car
From the North
Take Route w5 and follow signs to Colorado Boulovard until you reach E 17th Avenue.
From the East
Go on the I-70 west and follow it into Dnver and take exit 276-B. Continue on Colorado Boulevard and drive to E 17th Avenue.
From the South
Drive on Route 25 into the city before following Colorado Boulevard until you reach East 17th Avenue.
From the West
Follow the highway 285 N to W 6th Avenue, then continue until Josephine Sreet to 17th avenue.

Packet pick-up
Packet pick-up will take place on Friday from 11am-4pm. Those who are picking up packs on behalf of others (5 or more) should email jeneane@colo-ovariancancer.orgExternalLink no later than Wednesday and provide the names of people that they're picking up packs for.
Donations
All donations support the Colorado Ovarian Cancer Alliance (COCA), this charity supports Colorado women statewide with key groups including Niki's Circle Support and Information Groups, COCA Cares Financial Assistance Program, Ovarian Cancer Resource Guides and Comfort Kits for newly diagnosed women.
Strollers
Strollers (and babies!) are welcome at this family-friendly event, feel free to get everyone in the family involved. Those opting to run with a stroller will begin their race in a stroller race wave.
Family Fun Zone
The Family Fun Zone is back this year, and will include fun lawn games, face painting and lots of other fun events for families to participate in.
Dogs
Dogs who are well trained and always kept on a leash can attend and participate in Jodi's race. Make sure to bring backs to pick up after your pooch when necessary.
Food and Water
Water is available on the course through stations, so there will be plenty of opportunities to stay hydrated throughout your walk or run.
Headphones
If running or walking with music is your thing, feel free to wear your headphones but please make sure that you're wary of your surroundings.
Parking
Free parking is available at East High School and around City Park in the surrounding neighborhood. Please make a note that there is no shuttle service from East High School to the pavilion.

There are a very limited amount of close handicapped parking in the area even for those that have a permit. Expo
There will be an in-person Vendor Expo this year as with previous events.

Spectator Info
Spectators are free to watch the event and cheer on their friends and family. Travel to the City Park Pavillion Area if you wish to see the start of the event.
