Route information
This course is extremely challenging. The course starts at the Kirkwood Lodge and runs on pavement for around 0.2 miles leading to a single track trail, then from there it is all singletrack going up.
The 50k course will complete a counter-clockwise full loop and upon arrival at the Kirkwood Meadows Terrace turnaround, and repeat the course in a clockwise direction.
The 30k course will complete a full loop and upon arrival at the Kirkwood Meadows Terrace this course will complete the 5k out and back.
The Half Marathon has two out and back components and the 5k/10k is out and back.

Parking will be available for all. Turn Left West onto Hwy 88. Drive less then one mile the Thunder Mtn Trail Head aid station will be on your Left located in a dirt parking lot.

Will there be drop bags for the Kirkwood Thunder Mountain Trail Challenge?
Yes. Collection area at Kirkwood. 50K Drop Bags will be available at the Thunder Mountain Aid Station at Miles 4 and 27.2
Will I be able to collect my bib in advance or the Kirkwood Thunder Mountain Trail Challenge?
No. Bib Pick-Up takes place race morning.
