In 2011 On Hill Events created the first of the glow stick runs with the Legacy Midnight Run. This was the first of the midnight run races on the Legacy Parkway Trail System. The concept is to run under a full moon at night with glow sticks and attempt to beat the midnight hour. The goal is to beat the midnight Though all medals are high end flashing medals we still encourage all racers to attempt to beat the midnight hour and finish with a great time.

Utah Legacy Midnight Run routes

Half Marathon
The Legacy Midnight Run Half Marathon in 2018 will be an out and back Half Marathon. It starts at the Davis Fairgrounds and runs along the Legacy Parkway Trail System. The advantage of this race is that it has lights from the moon overhead and two highways are giving light on either side of it. Aid stations are lit with flashing coolers, flashing christmas lights and more. Powerade and Water at all of them. The aid stations are not more than 2 miles apart. New flashing lights to add help runners see the signs along the course. Finish Line area is well lit with lazers, strobe lights, music, and more!!!

This is an out and back course starting on the Half Marathon finish line and running back on the course 3.1 Miles and completing 6.2 Miles with the return. All courses get to take advantage of the grand finish area with lights and sound. This is a paved closed course. The course has 3 aid stations. New signs and lights help mark the course.

The Legacy Midnight Run 5K starts at the Davis County Fairgrounds and is out and back. This course heads East on the Farmington Trail then connects on to Legacy. This course turns around at 1.55 Miles at the first aid station and returns back for a total of 3.1 Miles. This finishes in the same location as the Half Marathon with a grand finish with lights and sounds.

Our volunteers are the best primarily due to them being runners themselves or family of runners and they know what a runner needs. It is not just about handing out water but the attitude of the volunteers that make a huge difference at our races. A motivated volunteer makes for a faster racer on the course. We do an awesome volunteer program. If you volunteer for one of our races we give you a $50 credit towards a future race within 13 months of the race you volunteered. If you choose to volunteer fill in the form. After the race please fill in the redemption form to claim your credit. Without the redemption form we will not know what race to give you credit.
