Spartan Race - Los Angeles - Sprint routes

Sprint:

Cover 5K of stunning lakeside recreation area in this Sprint distance Spartan Race. Within the 5K course will be packed 20 challenging obstacles that will see participants climbing, carrying, crawling, and even wading towards the finish line. The Sprint is the perfect distance for Spartan first-timers to give the challenge a try, or for returning athletes ready to push their speed to the limits.

12 Hour Hurricane Heat:

The 12 Hour Hurricane Heat, "HH12HR", is a unique individual and team-building experience designed to test the physical and mental fortitude of the participants.

In a course that utilizes tactics similar to Special Operations teams in the Military, only the most qualified of Spartans will be selected to compete and drive their squadron over a finish line that only 40% of competitors cross. Participants must be 18 or older to participate.

Kids Race:

Spartan Race isn't just for adults. The Spartan Kids Race offers three distances for the little ones in your life. Based on age, the races have obstacles in them just like the grown up versions, and will see your kids jump, crawl, and play their way through the course.

Kit List

Sprint:

  • Your ID
  • Barcode
  • Towel & extra (dry) clothes
  • Recommended: Headlamp and Camelback
  • Performance gear (NOT COTTON). Think compression tights or shorts and breathable tops made from water wicking material. Wear comfortable shoes that you’ve trained in, but beware, they are going to get dirty.
  • Fuel - For a Sprint distance you can normally get away with the water stations on course

Hurricane Heat:

  • Your ID
  • Waiver
  • Headlamp and glow sticks (required)
  • Recommended: Camelback
  • Your complete gear list will be emailed to you before race day
Spectators

With the Festival Pass, you get a coupon at registration (redeemable at the merchandise tent). Additionally you will have viewing access of some obstacles, the start and finish line, the vendor tents, and hot food for sale on the grounds. Enjoy music while watching your friends and loved ones slip and slide through the Spartan course, from the Spartan festival grounds. Raffles, entertainment, spectator challenges, free muddy hugs from Spartan athletes, and all the other festival perks makes spectating all worth while. The next ticket you will want to buy will be a race entry.

As a Spartan Race Volunteer, you will ensure that the racers and spectators have an epic experience. Along with a sense of extreme pride and sheer joy from helping out a ton of people you've never met before, there's a lot to gain from becoming a Spartan Volunteer.
