Route information
This rugged and challenging mountain climb begins at Johnson Canyon Trailhead with runners tackling a steel uphill section across a dirt track as runners climb up the Donner Lake Rim Trail.
Runners in both races will then head towards the Frog Lake overlook, taking in the beautiful sights surrounding the viewpoint. After visiting an aid station and climbing in excess of a lung-busting 900 meters, 20K runners will turn around, looping towards the finish on a downhill section.
35K runners will continue on through the Warren Lake Trail and tackle the Warren Lake Trail, scaling the Basin Peak after a challenging 1,600m climb. Runners will continue on the Donner Lake Rim Trail encountering technical rocky sections before crossing a granite terrain and breezing back to the start/finish area on a large downhill descent of well over 1,500 meters.

Participants can collect their race packs on Friday at 4-7pm at Tahoe Mountain Sports, Truckee, or collect on race morning at the start area from 6:00-7:15am.
