This edition of the Lucky Dog Dash sees dogs and their owners run in the panoramic Carpenter Park, with breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains throughout the 5k long course.
The hilly course contains moderate uphill sections, particularly between 2-2.7k. The route is shaped like a lollipop and goes alongside a nearby pond before owners and their dogs finish in the center of the park. The majority of the course is on concrete, with around 5% containing broken gravel.

By Car
From The North
Follow the I-25 S to W 120th Avenue in Westminister, take exit 223 from I-25 S, then follow Colorado Boulevard to your destination.
From The South
Follow the I-25 N until you reach Colorado Boulevard, you should then reach your destination in Thornton.
From the West
Follow the I-70 West or the US-24 W until exit 8 from I-76 E. Then take the Interstate 76 Frontage Road, Dahila Street, and Colorado Boulevard to the race location.
From the East
Follow the I-70E until you reach the 104th Ave in Northglenn, take this exit then follow 104th avenue and Colorado Boulevard to your destination in Thornton.

Spectators can view the event at the finishing point where they can watch competitors loop around the course during the 2k mark.
Can I run with my dog at the Lucky Dog Dash?
Yes you can, the Lucky Dog Dash is open to dogs of all shapes and sizes. Please keep your dog on a short lead throughout the duration of the event so that they do not interfere with other competitors. If you do not have a dog, you can still compete in the race.
Where does the Lucky Dog Dash Start and Finish?
The event finishes at the west end of the Carpenter Park Fields Parking Area.

No, anyone including toddlers and those aged 80+ can compete in the Lucky Dog Dash, it's an event for any level of experience.
