I was very impressed with this grassroots event. If I lived in the area I would definitely do many more of their events.

Course I would actually give a 4.5 to. Only slight negative was narrow switchback at the end. Hard to pass those walking the end of the 5K.First half of the race was all uphill. Went out at the pace my coach and I planned. After the halfway turn around, just opened it up and ran. PRd and finished as the 3rd male. Considering, I had been battling a small injury, had a bad last couple of weeks of training runs and right quad felt a little sore warming up, very pleased! Course was very well marked as far as signage.Atmosphere was fine for me. I come out to race so not into the dressing up for a theme or anything like that. It is also nice and I know other races do this, that you can get a printout of your results at the end. This is the 3rd or 4th time I have done one of their races and I do like them. Only slight thing I wish they would do is, provide Gatorade or a similar drink at the end of the race.

a nice little race. well organized, and fun. Its a small race but thats why I like it. there are plenty of volunteers to hand out water, and cheer you on. Its an out and back trail that is well maintained.
