Route information
The Olympic Distance Triathlon is a 1,500-meter swim, 40K bike, and 10K run.
Start: First Olympic Wave starts at 9:00am SHARP (Refer to Wave Start times), McNears Beach Park
Finish Festival: McNears Beach Park
Swimmers will be set off in waves every 5 minutes. Athletes will begin based on age group divisions.
Course Closures:
10:00am — Swim 1.5K
11:45am — Bike 40K
12:55pm — Run 10K
The Sprint Distance Triathlon is a 500-meter swim, 20K bike, and 5K run.
Start: First Sprint Wave starts at 9:50am SHARP (Refer to Wave Start times), McNears Beach Park
Finish Festival: McNears Beach Park
Swimmers will be set off in waves every 5 minutes. Athletes will begin based on age group divisions.
Course Closures:
11:00am — Swim 500M
12:15pm — Bike 20K
12:55pm — Run 5K

Get full directionsMcNears Beach Parking Lot: McNears Beach Lot will operate on a first come, first serve basis, with gates opening at 7am. But remember, once the gates close at 8 am, they won't open again until 12:30pm to ensure the safety of our participants!
Street Parking: You've got the green light to park on any street west (or before) Main Drive off of Point San Pedro Road. We ask that you just please steer clear of Andy's Market and be respectful of the neighbors!

Can I pick up someone else's race pack?
NO, USAT rules state that each person needs to pick up his or her own race packet (after he/she has shown a photo ID).
Are headphones allowed on the bike course?
No. The use of a headset, radio, headphones, personal audio device, or any other item shall be assessed with a variable time penalty.
