Route information
Swim course:
The water in Versluis Lake is very clean, as no gas motors are permitted in the lake.
  • Olympic distance athletes will do an out-and-back swim
  • Half distance athletes will do 1 loop (1.2 miles)
  • Full distance athletes will do 2 laps
Transition 1:
This is next to the park, on a large paved parking lot.
Bike course:
Leave Northland drive and turn onto Cannonsburg Road. The course heads east and then loops back on itself.
  • Olympic athletes: out-and back course of 24.8 miles
  • Half distance athletes: 1 loop (56 miles)
  • Full distance athletes: 2 loops (112 miles)
Transition 2:
Transition happens back at Versluis Park, and heads south on Northland Drive towards Grand River Avenue.
Run course:
An out-and-bike course staying east of the Beltline, heading through Plainfield and Ada.
  • Olympic athletes: 1 lap (6.2 miles)
  • Half distance athletes: 2 laps (13.1 miles)
  • Full distance athletes: 4 laps (26.2 miles)
Aquabike
You will ride the same course as the triathlon course, but there will be a separate chute towards the finish line, while the other athletes transition to their run. You must dismount at the dismount line before crossing the timing mat, otherwise you will be disqualified.

Parking:
There is no parking at the event venue for spectators or athletes. Parking is available at Northview High School, 4451 Hunsberger Avenue NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525.
There will be shuttles between the parking area and the event venue every 15 minutes. You are not allowed to bring bikes on the shuttle.

Spectator Info
There will be a SportStats Tracker App, where you can follow your friend or relative live while they are competing.
Please refrain from assisting any athletes, as they will be disqualified. They are pursuing an individual achievement of fitness. However, you are encouraged to cross the finish line with your friend or family member. You're even allowed to take your dog on course for that special finishing moment!
Spectators will benefit from food samples from some of the event sponsors.

No headphones or audio devices are allowed at any stage of the race.

Where can I find my results?
There will be TVs by the awards tent, where you can see your results immediately after finishing. There will also be printed lists of events. After the event, you can find your results online at sportstats.us

If there are still tickets available online, you are allowed to register on the day of the event during packet pickup hours.

You must have deposited all your bags before 6:30am on the day of the event. You will be given 5 bags: Dry Clothes Bag; Swim-Bike Transition; Bike-Run Transition; Special Needs Bike; Special Needs Run
