The Millerton Lake Sprint Triathlon has long been known as a great "first lake swim" triathlon, and a warm up for the upcoming season. But don't let the bike and run distances fool you, there are a few steep hills on the ride, and the trail portion of run is a challenge.

More of a good thing... The Olympic Distance has a more challenging swim, two loops of the bike course, and two loops of the run course with a trail run heading out, a paved road coming back and beautiful Millerton Lake as the backdrop.

A USAT membership is required for the Triathlon, (but not the 5k) If you do not have one, you can purchase one during the registration process.Total participation at this event is capped at 250. Register before it is sold out.

Millerton Lake Triathlon, Duathlon, 5K & 10K reviews

4.3 out of 5 stars

  • Course
  • Organisation
  • Atmosphere
  • Did the 10K Run/Walk in 2019

Course was fun and well marked, Organization was good, but still a little scattered but over all good, Atmosphere was fair, locations is pretty far out there and not much around. Shade a premium. Food and music was good. What would have make the race even better would have been probably an earlier start :) Fresno/Madera is pretty warm.
