The Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon is a USATF Certified Course that starts in front of Grafton High School on Hwy. 60 (about one mile west of I-43). This flat and scenic point-to-point course travels south through rural countryside, quiet north shore neighborhoods and finishes along the shores of Lake Michigan. You can qualify for the Boston Marathon by doing the Lakefront Marathon!

Get full directionsTransportation to the Start: Continuous bus service from the Henry Maier Festival Grounds, also known as Summerfest (692 E Chicago St) to the starting line will be available to all runners from 5:15 a.m. to 6:15 a.m. There is no charge for this transportation. If driving to the start yourself, please allow adequate time as congestion near Grafton High School can be expected. Participants are urged to park at the festival grounds and take the bus to the start. We cannot provide transportation back to the start area after the race for marathon participants.
A shuttle to the start is also available from our host hotel, The Courtyard by Marriott-downtown Milwaukee. It will leave the hotel at 6 a.m. sharp.

Event day logistics
You are able to pick up your packet on race day, but you will be changed a $30 fee for this unless you have reserved the option in advance. This can be done between 06:30 and 07:15
Starting Area: The Grafton High School facilities will be open at 6:00 a.m. to runners and their guests prior to the start. Additional toilet facilities and an aid station will also be provided.
