Welcome to the City of Hurricane Crush Run! We're thrilled to have you join us on Saturday, February 3rd, for an incredible day of running, hiking, and family fun. The best part? It's all for a great cause - the Meeks Mountain Trail Alliance. Whether you're up for the challenge of our Crush Run Trail 10 miler, the energetic 5k run or hike, or want to bring your little ones for the Kids' Run, there's something for everyone. And the best part - all proceeds go towards supporting the development and maintenance of the Meeks Mountain Trails Alliance. Packet pickup will be held at Hurricane City Park's big red barn on Friday, February 2nd, from 4-7:00 pm. If you can't make it then, don't worry! We'll also have packet pickup on Saturday morning from 8-10:00 am at the starting line. Please note that to reach the start/finish line, you'll need to cross active train tracks. So be careful as you make your way there. We also recommend allocating an extra 15 minutes to walk to the start/finish line. Just follow the signs, and you'll be on the right path. Don't fret about bathroom facilities either. We have restrooms available in the park, and portable restrooms will be conveniently placed at the Start/Finish area. Now, let's talk about the courses. All races begin and end at the new Huntington Federal Shelter, which is a short 15-minute walk from the parking lot. Get ready to experience hand-built single-track trails filled with rocks, roots, and plenty of rolling fun. For our young participants, we have the Kids' Run, which is approximately 1 mile long. The course is marked with pink flags, so they'll have a blast as they follow them to the finish line. Attention all military, first responders, and family members! We are incredibly grateful for your service and sacrifice. As a token of our appreciation, we're offering a 15% discount on the Hurricane Crush Run. We'll be recognizing the top three overall male and female runners in both the 10 miler and 5k races. Plus, we have special awards for the 1st place Crush Two-Person Teams in those races. And of course, we haven't forgotten about age group awards, which will be given to the top three runners in various age categories. Safety is our number one priority. We'll have EMTs on call throughout the event to handle any emergencies that may arise. Limited spots are available, so make sure to secure your registration early. From December 1st to February 1st, registration fees will be $10, $40, and $55, respectively. Please note that all registrations are final, and we cannot offer refunds. Are you looking for a teammate to conquer the race together? Enter as a two-person team and compete for the lowest overall time in the 10 miler and 5k. Your individual finishing times will be combined to determine the team time. Pricing remains the same, so it's twice the fun!
