Mooreville Groundhog 5k "Chase your Shadow" Fun Run #6

Welcome to our amazing event! We are thrilled to invite you to join us for a gun timed fun run fundraiser for the historic Methodist Church of Mooreville. Not only will you have an incredible time participating in the event, but you will also be supporting the rebuilding and expansion of our local outreach programs. Your support means the world to us, and we are incredibly grateful for it! Last year, we faced a setback with a catastrophic fire in our Sanctuary after a successful inaugural event. But thanks to all of you, we've made tremendous progress in rebuilding. Now, we want to invite you back, along with your friends, to continue supporting our efforts. We've taken your feedback to heart and have made some exciting changes this year. To ensure everyone's safety, we have delayed the start time until 10 am, considering the weather delay and dense fog we experienced last year. Your input led us to this decision, and we appreciate your suggestions. Additionally, we have lowered the early bird registration fee and family rates, thanks to your valuable feedback. Get ready for an exhilarating experience! The pavement is challenging, the scenery is picturesque, and the fellowship is genuine. Whether you choose to run, walk, amble, or even waddle, we guarantee you a fantastic time. And when you reach the finish line, the cheerleaders will be there to celebrate your achievement. Plus, the best part is that it's all downhill! In addition to the main event, we have kept the 1-mile challenge, perfect for those who prefer a shorter distance. But that's not all! We have some special awards waiting for you. If you dress up in a Groundhog costume, you'll have a chance to win an additional prize. And we'll also be recognizing the oldest and youngest participants, as well as those who conquer the "up the hill" challenge. It's going to be a blast! After the event, join us for a delicious brunch at the fellowship hall. You won't want to miss Miss Connie's famous burritos, available for your enjoyment. And make sure to stop by our bake sale for some irresistible treats! We believe in making our event accessible to everyone, which is why we offer youth discounts at the registration.
