Route information
Marathon
Starting in beautiful downtown Ojai California, the course begins at just over 700 ft and gradually descends to sea-level over 22 miles, and finishing near the historic Ventura, California Pier. The course is a lightning fast, USATF certified.
Half Marathon
he start line is on a quiet country road, Santa Ana Blvd in in the little town of Oak View. The half will begin at the half way point of the Full Marathon. The gradual downhill nature of the route will wind through Ventura’s west side valley to Ventura. The gorgeous oceanfront awaits with views of the Channel Islands. Try not to get distracted by the beauty of the area as you still have more than a mile of ocean side running to do. Finishing just past the historic Ventura Pier, the Mountains 2 Beach Half-Marathon course is designed to be fast with a little down hill to give the 13.1 milers a similar experience to the marathoners. The finish line and festival are directly adjacent to the beach which beckons you for a post race soak.

There will be parking at the Ventura County Fair Grounds for packet pick-up, but none at this location on raceday. The parking at the Fair Grounds will however be available for spectators and family members.
Parking for the event will be available downtown, but there will not be a dedicated parking site at the event site.
Parking for the Kids 1k Fun Run
The closest parking will be at Ventura County Fairgrounds for $5, and it is cash only.
Enter on Figueroa St and proceed to Lot C for parking. Anacapa Hall is one of the big buildings on your right. Look for Clif and M2B signs.
By Car
From N 101/Santa Barbara
From Hwy. 101, take the Ventura Ave. exit (70A). Turn right onto E. Thompson Blvd. Take Thompson Blvd. .2 miles and turn right onto Figueroa St.
After crossing the Amtrak tracks, the road will become Shoreline Dr. Ample Parking is available at the nearby downtown district and Finish line is just South of the Fairgrounds on the Promenade beachfront path.
From S 101/Los Angeles
From Hwy. 101, take the California St. exit (70A). Turn left onto S. California St. for 1/2 block. and take a right onto Harbor Blvd. Turn left onto Figueroa St.
Ample Parking is available at the nearby downtown district and the Finish line area is just South of the Fairgrounds on the Promenade beachfront path.
Shuttles
There will be shuttles available at the event, located in Downtown Ventura and Ventura County Government Center, which is approximately 7 miles from the finish area.
Shuttles from the Downtown location will leave at 4am and 5am for the Marathon, and 4am, 4:40am, and 5:15am for the Half Marathon, with the final pickup location being confirmed closer to raceday. Please note there is no return shuttle to this location.
Shuttles from the Ventura County Govt Center will leave from 800 S Victoria Ave Ventura CA 93009 at 4am and 5am. The return shuttles for the Govt. Center location will run from 9am – 2:30pm and pickup is on the north side of the Fairgrounds main parking lot next to the Amtrak Station.
Please leave at least 30 minutes to park and make your way to the pickup locations.

Race Packs
Race packs will be available for collection between 10am and 7pm on the saturday before the event from Ventura County Fair Grounds.
Aid Stations & Water Stations
Water stations will be located at miles: 1.5, 2.8, 4.1, 6.1, 7.7, 8.8, 10.4, 11.9, 13, 14.2, 16, 17.6, 18.9, 20.3, 21.8, 23.2, and 25.
Electrolyte drinks will be available at miles 2.8, 7.7, 10.4, 11.9, 16, 17.6, 18.9, 20.3, 21.8 and 23.2, and energy gels at mile 13 and mile 20.3.
Basic first aid will be available at all water stations, and mi 13, mi 17.6, mi 23.2 and the Finish.
Restrooms
Restrooms will be available at the start/finish and at every aid station.
Pacers
Pacers will be available at the event in different time groups.
Age Requirements
Kids must be between 6 and 12 to enter the Kids Fun Run.
Spectator Info
Spectators are more than welcome. The Fairgrounds lot will be open to spectators and families.
